This was a great quote in the review:

Yes, we know the old refrain: these AMD cards will only get better as time goes on and custom versions will be much better. Itís too bad for Radeon users that those two statements are based upon hypotheticals and wistful thinking while the GTX 780 Ti is reality right now.

So true, AMD.

It is true and its a problem in a world where hardware is compared on release date products and not non-reference model products.

Who ever signed off on the cooling system on the new 290 and 290x needs to be kicked in the nuts several times and then fired without compensation or the ability to reproduce :P.

hate seeing them squander their products considering the 780ti power use wise really isn't so far off yet runs cooler and quieter still because nvidia designed a better reference cooler.

its like AMD never learns or just doesnt care thats the only rationals i can think of.

but on the other side of things this 780TI is far over priced and i feel that people will be kicking them selves if they buy this now just like early 780GTX buyers and Titan buyers have been lately with all the price drops and now titan being a $1000 joke gaming wise.

I would jump all over a Card like this, of course I always buy 2, but the price certainly has me "thinking" harder, especially after a marathon session of FC3 last night with no issues.
We'll see, I do like new HW ;)

RJ i Say you wait maybe until black Friday, then pick up 3 of them bastards. 3 is better than 2, specially in your case, you can afford them

I'm still ahead of everything with my watercooled 7970's. Total cost $700.

Now if I was rolling in $$$$ I would have jumped on Titans ;) Uf I go this route it would only be 2, find as I play this HW game longer I think I get more sensible, passed on the Ivy E , still may pass on these, I keep threatening to skip one generation of Cards but since the GTX 280's that has yet to happen. ;)

Actually I'm waiting for Slik to make a "move" !!!!

Hey I'm still sitting with the dual 580's but damn I really want one of these. But the price is a little steep. I am curious to find out what the ACX cooler ones from evga are going to cost.

Hmm, I wonder what I could get for my dual 580's?
