Paid $640 for a reference on on release here (inc tax and del).. It's the one thing I get good prices on. :D (At release.. the prices tend to stay ~ where they are till they stop selling)

Default Nvidia Price Cuts

Surprised this hasn't made news here yet.

NVIDIA Shows GTX 780 Ti Price & Cuts GTX 770 / GTX 780 Price

$500 for a 780, and $330 for a 770.

This completely changes my stance on the 290X now. While the 780 is still less powerful overall than the 290X, it's superior power consumption and heat output numbers make it the card to buy, especially at $50 less than the 290X. Let's see how this translates to vendors now.

That's more like it. Now if they had started out with more reasonable pricing they would not have lost mu business for this generation. I'm going to keep my 7970's until the next gen die shrink.

Yup i may have even upgraded to Nvidia this time around if their prices on product's that are better than my 7970 weren't completely out to lunch.

as it is now I'm waiting to see the dust settle.

Wow... that's a big price drop. Say goodbye to used prices on 7950/7970's and 670/680's.

I'm sooooo tempted to trade up from the 770 to a 780. Holy Cow. Maybe I'll have to wait until after the Xmas expenses, though. We'll see.
