What do you guys think of the EVGA GTX 770 Superclocked (non acx) at $337.49 before taxes price matched at Mem Express from New Egg?

That's exactly what I did, PM'ed the EVGA GTX 780 SC ACX for $500! SLI, here I come!
Also ordered a backplate from NCIX since I got the backplate for the first card as well.

This is looking up. I've been looking at the EVGA GTX770 SuperClocked ACX since it seems to be the best card to match my ugly ugly ugly Sabertooth X79. it's down to 379 up front, which is still expensive, but we'll see what happens coming closer to the holidays

And now having to buy a different probably more expensive gsync monitor just to get some small benefits and trust me this looks pretty meh to me i never see tearing in games when i just frame cap at or double my refresh rate of my monitor seems to completely work for me without any of the input lag. and the benq already has a low input lag so ideally on my 120hz i'm running 120 fps or if possible 240 fps and i never see tearing perhaps my theory is nuts but it seems to work and I've had friends try it and they say it works for them too and those fps the game is smooth as butter already.

So id rather take a technology that doesn't require me to buy a 3rd party hardware at a premium to make it work such as light boost 3d monitors for instance.

but instead something that helps my graphics card wrench more performance from itself that to me sounds like the better option.

It's not about tearing it's about smoothness and GPU load.
Time and reviews will tell, I for one am not discounting it yet, especially if they can "Hack" it to work with other monitors such as some IPS panels.

I was looking at replacing my second screen with a lightboost monitor but I will be waiting to see which provides the better experience and at what cost and whether or not it can be hacked to work with AMD etc etc..
I don't like being locked to 1 manufacturer but I will pick the best solution (withing reasonable cost) for my needs.

I have been searching out prices on some cards and have found NCIX, MEMx and NEWEGG to be the best places to play off against each other. Each has different prices on different cards. Just depends on what you are looking for. All I can say is happy hunting GPU shoppers, about time!!!

I would wait for the mantle patch and driver release from both nvidia and AMD first so as they have a chance to optimize for it.. It's supposed to be dropped in mid Nov...

Nvidia are releasing a new driver every week or so at the mo all with BF4 optimizations.
They know that if they get monster'd in it then it'll look very bad and I bet loads of reviewers will bench the Mantle patch without allowing them time to release an optimized driver which will be sucky and very dishonest for their readers.

Place your bets the Mantle patch breaks something for Nvidia folks..

My pricematch finaly got accepted by NCIX. GTX780 ACX for $519. Nice!

I think I'll be ok for a few years at 1920 X 1200 on my IPS Asus Pa248Q with v-sync...

NCIX has pissed me off for years. I ordered my 7970's with price match from Mem Express and the service was amazing. They price matched and shipped my order within hours. I got the cards and they had some coil whine, I pm'ed them and they emailed me a shipping label to pay for the return. I am using Mem Express from now on.
