After checking out various reviews and doing some comparisons on the Orb to my 5850, I've gone with the Asus 650 Ti Boost DirectCu OC 2GB. It should be a decent upgrade and draw less power and generate less heat.

Nice! You should be happy with that! As long as you game at 1080P and don't mind using low AA settings, it'll be great!

A used 7950 would be your best bet imho. and would perform like hell with a mild oc those cards have been amazing for their price points and used prices are pretty good now considering the 190$ new/retail currently and being phased off the markets.

also they are gnc and will be mantel compatible for future games which is nice.

Faster across the board in benches, heck my vantage score is about 11K above what the old Q6600 clocked to 3.6GHz with a pair of 5850's did, and the weird little glitches I was seeing in D3 are gone.

So, you're happy with it then?

It's incredible what kind of performance $150 will buy you these days.

Thus far. I'm thinking I'll enter my Arkham Asylum key in Steam tonight and see what that looks like. I had a 9800GT for PhysX back when that came out but that was the exact time that Nvidia decided to be pricks and not let you use PhysX unless you had an Nvidia card for graphics as well.

Looks like Batman AA still needs to be activated through GFWL (despite the annoucment otherwise), I'm not fighting with that crap again.

Yeah one thing that blew my mind when I bought the 650TI Boost from SKYMTL, was the amount of performance I got vs the cost of the Card.

WoT historically takes a lot of resources to run good (well at least at my setting level) and the TI Boost got me almost to 60fps at Ultra settings with 1080p.
5 Years ago...I wouldn't have gotten a fraction of that for $130...

Yeah....the 5870, which is NOT as powerful as the 650Ti boost, was >$400 at launch...and that was a mere 4 years ago.
