Pre-Emptive strike against he R9-290 Launch.
We'll see if it makes a difference.

Have a feeling its a cutdown titian.

I have a feeling it's a Titan with ALL the SMX modules enabled (Titan has one disabled). Therefore a Titan+

Man this really complicates things for me

I believe Mantle will offer truly awesome performance for games that support it, and many will since it'll be part of Frostbite 3.0 and Cryengine 3. 9x more draw calls is huge.

But then eliminating stutter and tearing is also a very interesting feature.

Wow, this is going to be crazy if it turns out to be true. I just want the reviews for the R9 290X asap so we can see where it really stands in comparison to GTX 780 and Titan. I hope for AMD and consumers sake that it matches or beats the Titan and bring the Nvidia pricing down a notch!:thumb:

And let's hope that this card doesn't retail for $1200 seeing that the Titan goes for $1099!

Damn, trying to cut back on hardware purchases. But this sounds really tasty.

Tell me about it:haha:

I will wait and see how it performs and how they price it then decide but atm the GTX 780 HC is more than enough. I would go SLI later on and I hope the price comes down!:thumb:

I take that as a good thing so we can have our current cards for 2 years. I like the 2 years cycle compared to the 9 months to 1 year.
