My System Specs

Default EVGA GTX 560 Ti 2Win + GTX 560 Ti

I have an interesting idea. I currently have the EVGA GTX 560 Ti 2Win, which is two GTX 560 Ti GPUs on one PCB. Would it be possible to pick up a GTX 560 Ti and run them in SLI. I would think so since they are the same GPU and if it is possible, technically wouldn't it be Tri-SLI?

My other question is if this is possible and I ran it on a Z87 mobo that supported SLI 8x then logic would dictate that each card would run at 8x.

Unfortunately the answer to this is no. Since the 560 is only ever capable of dual SLI it isn't like you could do on some of the older AMD dual GPU + Single GPU for tri Fire.

The only thing that would happen is your 2WIN would be SLI and the single 560 would go to PhysX.

EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 2Win 2GB Dual-GPU Graphics Card Review | PC Perspective

You might also notice there is an SLI connection on the card - according to EVGA the GTX 560 Ti 2Win still does not support adding in any other GPUs for additional SLI action. Why they continue to leave the connection on the PCB is beyond me - they did the same thing on the GTX 460 2Win.
