Id first suggest you provide some more details on what's actually happening. And how you came to the conclusion it was your GPU?

Did you just buy the card? Does it crash in all your games? Driver version? If upgrading recently from another card did you clean the registry of old driver bits? Certainly the computer should not go into sleep mode while gaming. Unless of course it's WOW or something.

OK bud, try this little program called driver sweeper. Use the Windows control panel and uninstall all nVidia software/drivers. Reboot into safe mode. Run DS and get it to check for and remove any ATi/nVidia related registry enties. Then boot to windows normally and install the latest driver from nVidia. Reboot once more and see if that straightens things out for ya! ;)

I thought Driver Sweeper is discontinued. I usually just uninstall the drivers using Nvidia's uninstall tool, reboot, run CCleaner, reboot again, and finally install new drivers.

gigabyte has 5 revisions of your model, look on MB for " Rev:x.xx " so you can get correct drivers and bios, if choose wrong Rev: you just made a door stop

check bios is up to date
