Default ASUS GTX 670 DirectCU MINI Review Comment Thread

ASUS has released the amazingly compact GTX 670 DirectCU MINI to cater to the small form factor market. Behind its deceptively small size, we found it to be a surprisingly capable graphics card.

What I was most curious about was the acoustics, although quite disappointed that it was only compared to reference cards. We all know reference designs are terrible. Why not put in the regular DirectCU or other 3rd party cards to compare?

You could just look at the other reviews? They are all tested with the same variables..

Awesome little card. :)

Actually, NVIDIA reference designs are quite good in the acoustics department.

I wonder what a passively cooled or single slot 670 would perform like..

From what I remember the stock heat-sink was ... basic.. and small (not the shroud)

Looks like the perfect card to fit into that mITX Li-Li case that was posted up last week. :)

I love the backyard deck photos, so casual, so Canadian.

"The Peter Dinklage of the graphics card world" Heh heh, nice.

Seems like a great card, outperforms the full sized 670 even.

I just read that ASUS has released a 760 on the same size PCB and cooler. Not that the 670 and 760 are much different in performance, but its good to see that they relatively quickly adapted to the newer card.
