ASUS GTX 780 DirectCU II OC Review Comment Thread
The GTX 780 is one of today's most powerful graphics cards and ASUS has made it even better with their new DirectCU II OC. It packs in more features than the competition and also overclocks like no other.

I really like this card for the amazing temperature/noise... I am very tempted with the idea of buying one except that I feel like I would be committing a sin by buying this and using it at the "box" speeds 95% of the time. I would be very tempted this over the gigabyte and EVGA card.

I'd choose this over pretty much every other GTX 780 card out there (minus the Classified) since you can easily set it to +100MHz core offset and you're off to the races!

Awesome review of an awesome card... That is some serious cooling and the noise didn't go up at all from idle to load....

This is definitely worth the small premium over the reference card and makes the lightning look positively ridiculous.

Makes me want to sell my reference ones and jump on these (I can sell them for quite a bit more than I paid :D)

That said, I think I'll be watching what AMD do with the 8xxx cards and may go that route if I can still get good money for these. Simple fact is I HATE what Nvidia are doing with the voltage limitations..

The temps and noise results are truly incredible for such a powerful card. This trend of power, quiet, and cool is terrific for the consumer and bodes well for the future. Combined with Nvidia's excellent low latencies and quality build, this one is a no brainer.

I have one of their GTX 670 with a similar cooler and I must admit is it the best cooler I have experienced on a GTX 670 or higher card. Currently I am replacing 2 x gtx 670's in sli with a single GTX 780. I am tired of the issues with sli tbh, heat, temps, power and 2 x the cost for waterblocks.....
I have narrowed down my shopping list to either this card or the Galaxy 780 HOF. Both have great air coolers, custom pcb's. I'm leaning towards the HOF due to increased power limits though.....

Nice review.

Great review and awesome card. This has me thinking about selling my hydro copper and grab 2 of these babies with EK blocks. Decision, decision!

Great review. I really appreciate how thorough you were with the power section. 150,000 hour caps... wow.
