help! busted fan on twin frozr 3 7950

I managed to knock off one of the 13 fins on one of the fans on my twin frozr 3 7950 last night. I was reaching into my mining rig to adjust a wire and my knuckle wacked against the fan. I dont want to RMA it cause its not covered first of all, secondly I cant afford the downtime.

The only place I could find a replacement was ebay but they want $40 with shipping from china with a 15-20 business day shipping time. I am hoping someone has one locally or at least within Canada they could part with for a fee of course. I am desperate for any help that can be given, thanks

Try find a dead card locally (or more so) or just the cooler from someone that put theirs under water.

super glue for abs or unplug fan and find dryer flex hose to match hole, mount a case fan on other end

with fresh air feeding

What about an aftermarket cooler from someone like Arctic cooling?

thanks

HI, Thanks for the responses guys, yeah these damn fans are rare apparently my hope was to find a fan locally replace it myself and still maintain my warranty for the PCB, would be a shame to lose it over a little piece of plastic. I have thought about the after market cooler being a viable option, but if the card dies I still ned to rma with the original cooler, besides you pay a premium for the twin frozr cooler anyway. If all else fails I guess I could try craigslist. If anyone has one please pm me. Thanks again.

I didn't know those fans can break so easily...

Was spinning at about 2500 rpm and they are made of plastic.

Bunpity, bump! Anyone?

Just get an aftermarket one. If the card dies, install broken cooler and ship it with the broken fins. If they ask tell them its not you :)
