Gigabyte GTX 780 WindForce OC Review Comment Thread

Gigabyte's GTX 780 WindForce OC may be the perfect graphics card. It boasts extremely quiet fans, low temperatures and GTX TITAN matching performance for less than $700.

Wow! Anyone want to by a 7970 Matrix?

Not seeing the value of this.. Sure you get SLIGHTLY higher clocks but nothing worth $30.. Reference is already cool and quiet, not to mention dumps the air out-side of the case and looks far better too.
Granted if you want it ultra quiet then the windforce may be worth it but any game sounds drown out any fan noise anyway.

Will you be reviewing the Evga ACX flavour of the 780 anytime soon. Would really like to see how that card does against this variant.

Page 1 also in the first box... it's a 2 or a 3gb card?

780 is 3GB / 6GB, unless they did something unusual.. Probably just a typo.

Are there any 6GB 780s? I've only seen Titan's with six. I'm definitely curious now.

That really depends on how you look at it. Against the TITAN, this is an incredible value. Even against a standard GTX 780, it offers between 5-15% better performance while costing LESS than 5% more. To me, that $30 is money well spent.
