Yea, I think that is what I would be leaning towards.

One thing I just noticed about the review Sky, why no 3DMark?

Great card but not worth it to upgrade to 780 SLI over a 690.

The price also should be lower but AMD needs to release a competitor.

Looks like I will go and water cool my pc this summer instead of upgrading.

I've stopped using 3DMark. The results reflect.....nothing.

Solid review Sky. The 780 seems like a really solid option for people that wanted a Titan, but didn't think it hit the performance vs. value balance perfectly. Ipaine's comments on the PCIe 2.0 make me wonder if single card users will be hitting the 2.0 bandwith cap soon (or if they have already).

For myself, until I move past 1920x1080, I think my GTX 670 FTW handles pretty much everything I throw at it. When the Haswell reviews come out, I might be temepted to upgrade, in which case the 780 will seem like a 'must buy' option.

Gah, my 590 Hydrocopper is still neck and neck with the 780. I haven't upgraded my PC in so damn long, was looking forward to a 780/Haswell build. Now I think I'll just wait. I'll spend $400 and get a few fps.
I'm not liking where they priced this. $549 is where it should be comparing it's price/performance with the 7970.

What about PCI 3.0 x8+x8? Will that be limiting?

I'm thinking about jumping on this...

Definitely not. I doubt PCIe 2.0 x8 will even bottleneck all that much.

3.0 shooouuuuld be okay. Maybe 5% or so. But 2.0 will definitely have at least 15-20% drops.

True, but if they priced it at $550 they would have to drop the price of the Titan. You always pay a premium for the latest and greatest.
