So how much are you looking at for a 780 inc tax? (I know tax varies state to state but roughly or from min to .... )

$650 + 12%

Glad I'm going the "Evga Step-up" route for a couple of them ;)

Here in Alberta Canada the tax is just GST (so far) so price plus 5%.
here are some example before tax of the 780's in our area.

I'm going back and forth thinking about getting 2 GTX 780's or 2 Titans since I use surround for gaming. Either way its going to be damn expensive with only recouping some of the cost if I sell my GTX 670 FTW cards.

$649 is still a sticker shock for something that is really incremental in performance. Don't get me wrong the numbers are impressive, but just don't blow me away and make me shout take my monies now mofo!!!

Back in the day, I still remember shelling out $720 for the 8800GTX on launch day. My credit card felt gut rot that day. However, when the 8800GTX came out, nothing could touch it, it was a revolution worth upgrading for at the time.

The $399 770 nailed it for price performance. That's the card to get. If you care at all about not completely wasting your money.

I'm even debating on acquiring a 3rd GTX 670 for 3 way SLI surround. Still would be cheaper to find a used one than spending over 1k for a new setup.

That'll cut you to x8 x4 x4 I believe.. not really Ideal, Dual 770's won't be a HUGE difference but also not un-noticeable. dual 670's should be just enough for 3x1080 just like my single is JUST enough for 2560x1440 (oc'd as far it goes stable)

Unless you go for the 780's or titans and can't live with dual 670's I'd look at waiting to see what AMD do for the 8xxx series and how nvidia responds.. Can't say I would agree with dropping that kind of money on GPU's when you have 2 670's already unless you really have it to burn / you get very good prices on selling your 670's.

All personal opinion I know. but why else share unless your looking to get opinions unless it's to brag.
