Default 3rd 7970 or Titans?

I am just waiting on my 3rd U2713HM to arrive now and I am wondering for surround/eyefinity gaming is it better to go with a Titan then get another one later or just get a 3rd 7970 (with all the isues with frame latency) as I already have 2 7970's now. Is there that much of a performance difference? I have looked at reviews but I am still just not sure.

I know there are rumors of the new 7XX series coming out so its a bit of a gamble as well.

Titans. Until "frame pacing" works IMHO you have no choice.

Titans for the smoother frame delivery. I cannot speak to AMD vs. Nvida in regards to multi-monitor setups, however.

In a few weeks the GTX 780 will be out, very close to the same specs as a Titan and likely will be a fraction of the cost.

Seeing as 2 titans is way more expensive, they're going to give you a better gaming experience 100%.

Trifire can be hard to configure to eliminate microstutter. I can't seem to eliminate it from some games, and some games there is none too begin with.

So in summary: TITANS +2

Personally I'd wait and see what the 780's are like and at what price-point. Only a few weeks away. Can always go for whatever after if they aren't quite what your after.
