GTX 650 Ti Boost Roundup Comment Thread
NVIDIA's $170 GTX 650 Ti Boost has quickly become the go-to choice for gamers on a budget and board partners have been quick to jump on board. In this roundup, we take a look at cards from ASUS, EVGA, Gigabyte, Galaxy and MSI, none of which cost more than $10 more than the reference version.

nice cards would love to get my hands on one even though my 560ti is still good I definitely would replace it with one of those

These cards are dam good value. There's absolutely no point in buying a 660 now, since you're hardly getting much performance for that extra ~$50 or so.

The one thing that always bothers me is the large and unnecessary heatsinks on most of the cards. Galaxy nailed it by keeping it simple, while maintaining a smaller profile and low noise.

Don't knock the larger heatsinks until you've tried them. They're VERY quiet.

Just picked up the ASUS. Going to throw it into my HTPC and fold/casually game on it.

How would a 650ti Boost compare to a GTX570?

SKYMTL April 9, 2013 10:25 AM

Perf would probably be about the same or slightly higher.

Coach April 9, 2013 10:34 AM

crap.. I should have bought the ASUS 650ti Boost this morning. looked at the FS thread before any were sold.... oh well. I take it you will test more cards in the future and sell them :)

I rarely if ever dip into the emerg fund, but for my cousin who's got an older system (soo many cousins I help out lol) this was too good a deal for the performance to pass up. He Games 16x10 so this is perfect.
