Default Battlefield 3 in Surround. Looks Stretched?

Hey guys,

Just finished plugging in an active display port adaptor to run surround on Battlefield 3.

I noticed that the side monitors look quite a bit stretchedwhile playing. Is this normal? Any way to fix it?

that is one of many reasons why I abandoned Surround when I gave it a try.

Try adjusting your field of view (FOV) and see if you can get it better. I am no expert though so other please correct me if I am wrong.

Do eyefinity users have the same problem?

flip the monitors vertically and change the res? I think for all the trouble its worth for eyefinity i'd just buy a 30 inch ultra sharp instead.

I don't believe BF3 naively supports surround resolutions as it would give an unfair advantage for multiplayer.

You might be able to use various tools out there to modify the FOV in single player though.

You'll find most games are like this, some more then others. I don't find it to be an issue because it's more for peripheral vision anyhow. You could try changing you FOV as others suggested but that may only lessen the stretching and it'll likely throw the center monitor out of whack so that everything moves oddly when you look around with your mouse..... which sometimes causes motion sickness. I always got queasy when driving the buggy in HL2 because of the odd FOV.
