I am very fortunate, and have two Titans. Ain't no such thing as overkill.

Wanted two Titans but spending $2400 on SLi is crazy...especially as I use a single monitor and want to upgrade to an X79 Platform.
So, purchased 2 x Evga GTX 680 FTW+ 4GB instead, for the price match "BOTH" Cards were $1200, leaves room for expansion in my budget ($1200 for my RIV Extreme X79, 3930K and RAM) and will provide better performance than a single Titan at 2560 x 1440.

Trust me though I was so tempted to pull the pin for 2 of these badboys, but fvck me $2400 (with taxes), common sense prevailed this time.... ;)

Hows the neighbors to your wifes company these days? have not heard from them in awhile other then Asus sales reports that do not look good at all.

^^^ Damn good memory, havent been hanging out on here much for various reasons !! Funny you mention it though as I believe she told me they (her neighbors) have let some folks go.
As for the 980X, yeah I'm not sure what I'll do with that and the ole Classified Board, maybe swap out the 920 in her Office PC for this 980X and give the Classified Board with either the 980X or 920 to my Son in Law.
Also, dont know if I can get much more than $280 for the 580 Classified Cards as Keplar is so much better.....we'll see.

Perhaps watch for a sale on 980X, Classified 759 Mobo, bunch of Triple Chanel Ram and a couple of Classified Ultra GPU's (try and re-coop some $$), may list it all in a month or so.
Let her all go to a good home for a great price ;)

I don't know what you mean. What does Final Fantasy 10 have to do with anything?

Please tell me your running more than 1 Dell 2560x1600 monitor, or planing on getting a 2nd one? Otherwise a couple of 680's for half the cost is more than adequate to max out everything. Unless of course its all about the Benching, then I get it ;) .....otherwise, yeah, it is overkill, way overkill ;)

My original plan, was to get three of those Dell 29" wide screen 21.9 aspect ratio monitors. I rechecked the specs, and found that the height of the screen viewing area was only 12 inches. I have only one 30 incher right now,and probably won't get three of them until they are made with narrower bezels. Meantime,I really don't think overkill has anything to do with it. I simply want, and will have, the best of the best when it comes to Video cards etc. and gaming. I sure don't want to come across as a smart ass. It's just that I believe...there ain't no such thing as overkill. I mentioned I am fortunate. I am,and I take advantage of that good fortune.

I plan on doing a build with Haswell when it's released. That is,if my buddy Killswitch is up to it. With the rig I have now, built with my buddy, the better way to go for gaming, was with the 3770K.
