Midway between a GTX680 and a GTX690 is nothing to sneeze at, especially when you consider that it's a single GPU card. Is the $1000 price tag justified? Probably not. It has $700-$800 worth of performance, at best. BUT, Nvidia is performing in a niche here, and they're the only player. So they can effectively charge what they want. And lots of people will pay to have the name 'Titan' in their system.
And to think that this was originally slated to become the original GTX680. My God!
Also, I like your graphs. Especially the Frame Time Testing. It shows that while the GTX690 may have the highest FPS, it delivers less 'clean' frames than Titan.
