I agree. As as owner of a Galaxy and a MSI GTX680, I'd like the Galaxy a whole lot more. It doesn't whine, it doesn't use a brown PCB, and it overclocks better.

You're actually thinking of BFG.

As for Galaxy the company, I've had no issues with them in the past, their extended warranty and the fact we have a very nice Galaxy rep here would sway me to buy from them again (just not stock cooler)

Hmmm... a lot of people speaking up for Galaxy... I did see this card...

I didn't pay attention before because of my feelings about Galaxy.
10% price difference is nothing to sneeze at... and it even has a custom cooler Arinoth could love.
Actually seems very similar to the MSI in design and performance according to [H].

I suspect the folding tag under his name might be a deciding factor as well.

Indeed sswilson. I've bought Nvidia for years for their folding ability.
I haven't been folding for over a year now sadly.

What games do you play most. Make a list of ten of your favs...and ten upcoming you want to play. Count how many of them are "the way it's meant to be played" games. If most are not...go AMD. If most ARE TWMTBP games...go NV. Simple as that. If you go the NV route...Id plunk down the extra cash and get a 680 OC'ed. YMMV. :)

Didn't even think to look for the folding tag.

If your not folding and don't intend on starting then the price difference of the AMD would make me seriously consider it.
If the 7970 was the price it is now (or even in relation to a 670's price) when i was buying, then I would have jumped on one.

Can you guys link a couple 7970's from NCIX that are good price/performance cards?
I really haven't followed ATI for a few years.

@AKG - My everyday game is LOTRO which is not demanding at all. I liked Skyrim and will probably play Crysis 3.

Thanks for the input all. :)
