I did alpha testing with Crysis 3. If you plan to play this game with all the bells and whistles, you best have some serious power. I played it with dual GTX580-SLI and it was pretty smooth (max graphics). Then played it with a single GTX580. Not so great. I would be interested to see what a single GTX680 does at 1920X1200.

If I was serious about playing Crysis 3 in all it's glory, I would go with no less than a GTX680, at any rez. Dual 670/680 or a GTX690 would be best. It kicks the dog shit out of a single GTX580 at 1920X1080. Havent played it with my GTX680 yet.

EDIT: It was alpha testing I did, not beta.

I wouldn't bother with another 580 unless you got a great deal on a used one. 680 gets my vote...or wait and see what the GeForce "Titan" brings to the table. My guess is it will be priced high, but you may get a used 680 cheap after it comes out.

I think a single 680 or two 670's would be good. Unless you can get a really cheap 580 don't bother getting a second 580.

As I said, wait and see :D
A 680 is a noticeable performance jump BUT is it worth the cost?
