My System Specs

Default A question about switching card brands.

So, I recently purchased a GTX 660 Ti and I currently have a HD 6950. I was wondering what I need to do to switch them. Do I need to uninstall AMD then install nvidia? Any help would be appreciated. :)

He's saying to get rid of the old drivers and software, then AFTER that install your new card and install/configure what you need to with that. Honestly you can run the two side by side but it's a pain, for me it's easier to remove the old card, boot, remove everything, install new card, install everything.

mybad I didn't notice they are charging for it now . if you are able try doing this . remove the card then reboot then uninstall the drivers shut down the PC pop new GFX card in and load up the new drivers . Might want to search your local drive for AMD stuff that the uninstall didn't pick up .

Edit : just read past my last post and tethlah said it already

You see, if I remove the card, I can't uninstall the driver if I don't have a card in.
I don't have a dvi/hdmi/vga port on my motherboard =p
