Are nvidia 500 series blower cooler loud?

I'm a silence freak and the blower cooler on an EVGA gtx 560 ti 448 scared me away. Is the cooler quiet under normal load? Does anyone have one?

Define normal load? As soon as the fans on my 560 hit 50% they start getting noisy.

by normal load I mean putting the fans on auto (or setting a fan curve), then noise at idle and when playing games at a decent temperature

I heard that the EVGA fan is noisy...On idle it's probably quiet.

I suppose they will get noisy then.

Unless its an oversized blower fan like some HIS cards use or the one used on the gtx690, it will get noisy under load unless you control the %. The type and size of fan a blower is as well as the backpressure against the congested rads they usually use, either its a loud enough whoosh or a leafblower type sound. 46%-62% seems to be the best range for most of them, otherwise they get crazy like.
