Ah damn yeah, not for starcraft 2..I thought that it was 1080p on second place!!!for WOW,it would be 60 FPS with a 550ti OC,right?Geforce probably lies...,But actually, for my 570,i could test on some games and they said the truth...Well,ST saw it in action, so you will have to think more powerful

I'm not sure that a 650ti would run SC2 at steady 60 fps tho...because it is said to be 41 with a 550ti on 1900x1200,which is pretty similar to 1920x1080... maybe an even more powerful card would be better, like a 660.

A 660 is awesome for the price, i think. And you will be ok for performance!

I also think it depends on the moments of the game, maybe some places with bad optimization,etc... can't really be accurate...
Benchmarks need to be taken with a grain of salt for some comparisons. Because the systems that Geforce uses to bench are High End Intel with High end CPU/RAM Combos.
Not, an A8 FM2 setup. That skews results considerably.
My Cousin runs a Highly clocked Quad w/550TI TOP and he can't use AA on WoW without taking signifigant hits in performance.

I find SC2 is all over the map with performance (GPU wise at least) as I have an overkill setup to play it yet in certain circumstances I still dip to 40 when my rig is capable of 100.

My recommendation to the OP is the best average for what he wants to spend. 650TI, 660, 7850 all fall in that range.

I agree with those card recommendations for your price range and wants of your graphics card. Watch for Black Friday or Cyber monday sales. The relatively hard to come by but well priced HD 7850 1Gb would suit you very well IMO.

I wouldn't change CPU to the A10 either (not worth the hassle/cost).

As an aside, everyone should keep in mind that SC2 is a very CPU intensive game (especially late game in 3v3 or 4v4), and fps can often become CPU limited late game, resulting in lower FPS regardless of the GPU.

Reading all these comments was very interesting. based on reading all the feedback would be the best to purchase a ASUS HD7850-DC2-2GD5-V2 AMD Radeon HD 7850 Video Card - 2GB, GDDR5, AMD Radeon HD 7850, PCI Express 3.0, DVI, Display Port, 1x HDMI, DirectX 11 at TigerDirect.com

Let me know if that would be good.

560 is fine too,but you have a risk of coil whining,i have heard that a lot of ppl have that problem because of the TDP of the 500 series...Also some radeons.i'd better get kepler for the same price :)

Great card, but I wouldn't recommend at that price. A Gtx 660 would only be a few bucks more, its faster, and uses substantially less power. And a 7850 would be close in performance for gaming, is cheaper, and and uses less power.

Here is the deal:

Gigabyte HD 7850 1gb for $169.99 and a $20 MIR to make it $149.99 and FREE SHIPPING. Also comes with Far Cry 3 and 20%off medal of honor coupon.
Newegg.ca - GIGABYTE GV-R785OC-1GD Radeon HD 7850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

This one is $140 after rebate, but it's a $40 MIR. 2GB card instead of 1gb mentioned above:
Newegg.ca - HIS IceQ X H785QN2G2M Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

free shipping as well. But I reckon this card will be louder because of the single fan as opposed to dual fans. My experience with Gigabyte's windforce cards are positive. They're dead silent.
