Sweeeeet. The timing does make one ponder though if they could have done this all along and were just waiting for AMD to become more competitive before doing their thing.

Once again, just shows how much goodness the competition brings us. (And screw AMD and NVIDIA for optimizing their shit only 10/7 months after it was released...)

Wow. The improvements actually scale better at higher resolutions with IQ Maxed. This should help me pull Vsync 60 fps, on almost every game I play :D

Curious for your review Sky, but from the graphs and text it would seem that their benchmarks at 3.3ghz on an i7 are impacting performance improvements in CPU reliant games? It will be interesting to see your results versus theirs with an overclocked system, to see if the results skew up (or down) relative to the older drivers.

Another driver update review coming? I would be surprised if Nvidia would have keep this improvement in their back pocket in the chance that AMD had a great driver update.Could be an advertising stunt. That said I am all for free performance boosts. Time will tell.

Makes you wonder why optimal performance was being "Held Back" in the first place for both AMD & Nvidia.
