Wait til "black friday" to buy 7950 ???
 

Next week I could get a 7950, probably from directcanada as of now. But is "black friday" also on Friday Nov.23rd here in Canada too, or is it later like Friday Nov 30

I would hope newegg and ncix might have some 7950s on a bit cheaper than standard sales, do they, I never ever paid any attention in the past. What about DC? anyone know from past years?

I have been tracking the price for the last few weeks, and they are at the lowest now. Not sure if it will come down mo0re on Black Friday.

If you find a great deal go for it, but you always run a risk this time of year. With Black Friday, cyber Monday, Christmas sales, and boxing week you can be almost certain a better deal will come up, but the other questions are can you wait, and will you miss out on the better price before they sell out.

yeah I can wait, regular shipping from DC in BC would take 8-9b days anyway

But I'm picky, I don't want a ref. card, or a 3 slot card, or a loud card like the single fan XFX, and I'm wary of the sound of the MSI tbh from some reviews, but they do have RMA in Canada, and powercolor sort of scares me, but I worry too much

I don't plan on OCing since I'll CF next year

Maybe Going to get a video card this payday, then hope that it goes on sale this holiday season so I could buy a second to enable crossfire. Most likely gonna be my plan.

I really don't expect a much better deal on any 7950 that I would want for black friday/cyber monday. I definitely not want a ref-card or several others. And next year I can get a gigabyte for CF, it seems to have the best cooling since it's vram and vrm's are 'padded' to the heatsink

Black Friday deals have been nothing special the last few years, although you may get lucky more than anything.
