Default For the 10000000 time its been asked.

Is it time to upgrade the 580GTX?

Dont think ATI is they way for me, But is the 680 really that much of a upgrade?

For the most part it looks like a 20-25% increase at best.

Run SLI or
Buy a 680/7970?
Wait for the 685?

Let me know what you think.

BTW
I play FPS/RPG Newer/Newest games only.
I play at 1920-1080

Are you having issues playing games at 1080p with a GTX580? I highly doubt it...

I wouldn't bother upgrading.

If used 580s were making any kind of cash it might be worthwhile, but they seem to be stuck around $250 at best so IMO it's not really worth it.

I think a platform upgrade would be more beneficial though if you have the "upgrade itch".

It would get you SATA3, USB3, PCI-E 3.0 and UEFI. Better power efficiency too.

If you don't have a SSD, I would strongly recommend buying one of those. That's the most noticeable upgrade I've ever done.

This is probably the best set of advice there is for this.

Also they are making the 780 out to be the next coming of Christ so I personally I would wait, not gonna see a difference on 1920x1080 because 580's still crank it out easy.
