AMD's sneaky tactics!!!

i was all set to go team green for my next upgrade.

then AMD release some new drivers and an awesome game bundle.

next thing you know, i bought this Newegg.com - ASUS MATRIX-HD7970-P-3GD5 Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

i sure hope i like it.

it was that damn game bundle. it was over powering. i couldn't help myself.

those dirty bastards.

Supporting your product isn't exactly sneaky tactics. Free performance upgrades is something I hope to expect from all hardware manufacturers.

The AMD version of "the way its meant to be played." :haha:

Although that matrix card is BEAST no matter what chip is under that cooler

'Gaming Evolved' and 'Never Settle' are working their magic by pulling customers away from Team Green. Nice to see it working out for AMD.

I wouldn't call it sneaky. I would call it a brilliant fall marketing plan. Making gpu faster at the same price and include in demand games. If anyone plans on buying those games you can pretty much count it as a discount on the gpu. Enjoy the graphics card.

Enjoy your new 7970. I'm sure you will like it just fine. Green, red.... what's the difference? 7970, 680, what's the dif. They will both rock any game. :D

That's why I bought my new HD 7950 great deal. But I always liked ATI now AMD. My HD 5850 served me well.

I spec'd out a build for a friend, and we spec'd a 7950 simply because of the three free games. We would otherwise have bought a 7870, or even a 660Ti, but the lure of three free A-list titles was too hard to pass up.
