If You Are About to Buy A Graphics Card....Stay Tuned

Since this isn't breaking any NDAs (that I am aware of at least), anyone in the market for a graphics card may want to tune in at around midnight EST).

There are some announcements that will surely interest you.

No, it isn't a new GPU.

But it could change the way both AMD and NVIDIA approach the Christmas shopping season.

I hope it's and AMD because I want to buy one for my Windows 8 as the 3 x Nvidia GPU I try always crash; " nvidia kernel mode driver stopped responding"

This is all I can think of... Can't be new GPU's must be piledriver... I never have been very imaginative though.

SKY you have made me excited.

Edit: On second thought it could be a news release for some sort of streaming company, although that doesn't really change the game for Canadian clients since it will take a lot of people a week to cap out on their bandwidth.

Not Piledriver....this IS in the GPU section. ;)

ATI going belly up?

CMetaphor October 21, 2012 03:24 PM

Hmmm intrigued.

a new Lucid chip?
new amd drivers that (finally) allow for direct communication between gpus? (long shot, lol)
Massive price drops?
New GPU company? (unlikely)
New OEM picking up a chip type they didn't have already?

If it's not a new GPU then Im not sure what else it could be... hmmm

Well I was actually in the middle of putting a build together for a friend so I guess before I waste more time looking at benchmarks and prices.
