what happens when set affinity when play your game

15M Cache, 2.30 GHz, 7.20 GT/s Intel® QPI

so you have 2 ram of 4 slots filled with 8gb per cpu?

Sell your 6 cores and pick up 2x E5-2643 (4 cores at 3.3 Ghz) and it should run faster. You could even sell both of them and buy just 1 because you really don't need 2.

Not that more input seems needed, but I agree. It's a CPU bottleneck because of CPU speed on I sufficiently threaded games. Unless you need all the cores for something else sell them of and get something with a higher frequency.

Games generally use 1 core per "operation" 1 core for graphics,1 for sounds, etc... That's surprising but actually, a lot of recent games will use 1 core only for image rendering.
