If FPS drops, you have overclocked it too far,i have experienced that on an old card, the games even put in on pause automaticly,or sometimes, just lags for 5 sec and is normal again.
Raise core clock while running furmark, then raise voltage when having artifacts. If it overclocked properly ,should not have issues.CHeck the temperatures?
What do you mean by "a bit"
Clocks are different for any user, depends on many things... Don't just find a result on the internet and boom, overlock it like this, won't work, you can to find your setup by doing it carefully, core-voltage-core-voltage and temps..
The memory clock is usually quite useless, you can touch it a bit but i didn't have a gain of 1FPS for my card.. idk for this one, i suggest you don't overclock the memory and see if it still slows down, also check the clocks when you have this bad FPS, windowed mode in game and see the clocks, if they stay same when lagging
