NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti 1GB Review Comment Thread NVIDIA's latest entry into the affordable $149 price point is the GTX 650 Ti. Based around a cut down GK106 core, it is being touted as a replacement for the GTX 550 Ti but this card offers much, much more than its predecessor. Exactly the card I'm gonna stick in my little brother's i3 rig... And that EVGA one is like the cutest graphics card (?!) I've ever seen! As always, excellent and well written review. *Typo in the OC graphs, says 560 SSC OC instead of 650Ti SSC OC. |
Too bad there is no SLI connector, this maybe could have been an interesting SLI setup in a mATX case given it's small footprint. |

THat being said being its older card by 50% isn't too bad, but there are better AMD Cards to be had in this range. -ST |

Thanks for the review, SKY! I praise your completeness with the "Taking Image Quality to the Next Level" on this card - that Witcher sequence must have looked er... interesting :bleh: Quote:

I've received some emails asking about why we didn't test at lower resolutions. While this card may be considered an upgrade solution, at this point, testing lower resolutions is somewhat pointless considering the dominance of 1080P monitors on the market. In our opinion, a $150 card shouldn't have an issue playing games at 1920 x 1200 (and therefore 1080P) which means that it will have even less of a problem with lower resolutions. |
Nice review. Unfortunately this card just kind of blends into the crowd for bang for buck. That said it fills a void that existed in both price and performance, and gives another option for Nvidia only people. If it was another $15 cheaper it would have been great. |
Despite the $150 price point, most of the cards are being sold for more, up to $169. I picked up an Asus 7850 for $179.99 before $10MIR. Other than the form factor, there's nothing really good about this card. I was hoping the price of this card would be down in the 7770 range. Then we'd have a real winner. |
