Default GTX 260 versus GTX 660

Hi,
I just replaced my Asus ENGTX 260 TOP 896MB by a Gigabyte GV-N660 OC-2GB. I tried the new card with Batman Arkham City and found out that there is not much difference as far as frame rates are concerned with the Asus ENGTX 260 TOP I bought in 2009! I wonder if the new card is really better. Is there a benchmark comparing the 2 cards?
Thanks for guidance.

Have you re-installed the drivers, using the latest?

Yes I use the latest Nvidia driver valid for both cards.
Thanks for the link benchmarking the 2 cards. The Gigabyte GV-N660 OC 2GD stays cool and is completely silent when I play. This is great. For the rest, I think changes are minor...
Maybe the Nvidia Drivers are developped for new cards which can be another motivation to by a new card ... I wonder...

You didn't say what size your screen is? If its less than 22" you won't see that much difference.

What is the rest of your specs, sounds like a bottleneck.

^^ Agree. What is your CPU/ram, Sounds like its a cpu bottleneck if I was to guess. You should have a very noticeable increase in fps in everything.

I'm guessing straight out that his processor is bottlenecking.

For me, a 260 to 560Ti was a pretty big jump, but was bottlenecked by my Q6600

Drop in a new mb/cpu/ram and the 560Ti doubled it's framerates.

^ agreed, my Phenom II 940 was a huge bottleneck for my 560ti, dropped in an i7 920 clocked @ 4ghz and i got a 50% increase and no stutters.

Thanks for all the relevent comments.
My monitor is a BenQ 19''. CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 3.16 Ghz. DDR2: 4GB. Win 7 64 bits.
I think I'd better buy a quad core CPU if I can find one with old socket 775 ... Tell me if it will make difference.
