What's a good upgrade from my gtx 570?

yup, a french magazine, the 1st for high tech ,Canard PC hardware said that the new 6** series were like a remake more expensive,with explanations and everything, you must know that it didn't cost that money to nvidia to make the new 600,just considerate the amount of cuda cores in a 680,enormous, btw renember that facing the 570,its normally the 670,which is much better,its not the 660ti,what's more, 660 ti costs as much as a 570,its quite normal that the performances are not that much better ;)

i don't say 5% more with 660 ti but 10% more perfs for the same resolution.

btw if you have money for a 660ti,buy another 570,and just SLI them,that will destoy the 670 ;)

One of us is getting the numbers wrong, and I don't see much prove form your part. Like I said the NVIDIA site is most likely biased. I looked up a SLI set up of gtx 570, and they were around the gtx 670 peformance wise, not only that but I would have to get a new PSU too.

there is always the nvidia bench site or just type battlefield 3 and the name of the card,and then you see^^ i say what i see but it's actually not my pc and my dollars,i think that you are the one who must make the choice,after all i gave you a few results of benchs,now it's up to you^^

ill traduce, he says that in ultra the FPS is 65-100 and its a damn OC card from gigabyte!

and i noticed that in your vid,its 80 FPS in a hot action scenee with explosions..jumps to 100 even in fights..

so well,2 GTX 570 would be like 90 FPS in fights,maybe 80 in large maps and a non OC 670 would be more like 70,with what i can see,may depend on the map and the game, btw my bench was for crysis 2,its a really hard game and the SLI seems to work great in it

se yea,you can get a very good 850W psu for 150 dollars i think, and then the card,yea would be expensive but well,you can always buy a 670,but i think its less powerful.. unless you buy a good SOC card or something like that! would be same ,but would be like 500-600 $

and 500 dollars is the price for a PSU + a 570 i think,,its a very difficult choice,if it was me i would not know what to do,take the SLI for perfs or a 670 for simplicity

depends on your case,good cooling? want the max performance per dollar?

SLI is generally recommended for upgrading but when it's not enough powerful you have to buy the next level card,renember,670 is very expensive..

Quick question, is the MIR always guarantee? Also when it says it's only valid from the 26-30 does it mean that if I buy it during that time I will be safe or that I need to submit the MIR during that time?

Games aside, what about video?

The GTX 660 Ti has 1344 Cuda Cores,
The GTX 660 (OEM) has 1152 Cuda Cores, and
The GTX 570 has 480 Cuda Cores

Surely with more cores with either of the GTX 660 cards, over the 570, will mean a lot more processing power when it comes to working with video using Adobe Premiere CS5.5+ and After Effect plugins?

@ jiw2003, expect similar performance... overall compute is down in the 600 vs 500 line so 1 cuda core on kepler is "worse" than 1 core on fermi.

@ eltiti55555, my personal opinion is that the 660ti (or ATI equivalent) is not worth the upgrade. The 670 or 7950 (or one of the millions of ATI variations around the price point) is a worth while upgrade in terms of performance. I know it can be very hard to wait to upgrade, but a little patience for a killer sale can easily save you another $50. Either way, if you get something that performs around the 670/7950 performance level in your price range, I'd say that's worth the upgrade; although turning down the graphics quality 1 notch sometimes doesn't create a big difference in graphics quality...

As for MIR, I think I got back all except 1 MIR that I sent in for... and that's out of at least 9 sent in. Yes, you have to buy the card from that site on the days listed to qualify and they give you a different date that you have to register the MIR by to qualify (usually 1-2 weeks after purchase).
