Wouldn't upgrade if I was you. Wait out for next gen cards or for the prices of current ones to hopefully fall

Update:

Today I was browsing through different benchmarks, and yet again I felt like getting a new video card.
I was looking at these video cards:

ATI

XFX Radeon HD 7950 Double D 800MHZ 3GB 5.0GBPS GDDR5 DL-DVI HDMI 2XMINIDP PCI-E Video Card

Gigabyte Radeon HD 7950 Windforce 900MHZ 3GB 5GHZ GDDR5 DVI HDMI 2XDP PCI-E Video Card

MSI Radeon HD 7950 Twin Frozr III 880MHZ 3GB 1250MHZ GDDR5 DVI HDMI 2XMINI DP DX11 PCI Video Card

Powercolor Radeon HD 7950 OC 880MHZ 3GB 5.0GBPS GDDR5 DL-DVI HDMI 2XMINIDP PCI-E Video Card

NVIDIA

EVGA GeForce GTX 660 TI+ 915MHZ 3GB 6.0GHZ GDDR5 SLI 2xDVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E DX11 Video Card

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Ti OC 1032MHZ 2GB 6.0GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Video Card

TBH I have some cash lying around, and I don't mind upgrading from my current gtx 570(plan on selling it after). I was looking at this review AnandTech - The GeForce GTX 660 Ti Review, Feat. EVGA, Zotac, and Gigabyte and I am thinking on going with ATI, still not sure though. I game on a 32 inch TV, which I also use to watch movies and whatnot, and I am ashamed to say that the max res the TV can go is 1360x768, I know that these cards are overkill for that, but I am planning for the future. I also want to have the possibility to OC in the near future. The benchmarks that get posted for the gtx 570 are often BS IMO. I don't know if the benchmarks I have been looking at get done while looking at the ground, but I am pretty sure I will get a lower fps on similar settings on my system(having in mind that I only game at 1360x768). I am looking to be able to get an avg of 60fps on modern games even when there is A LOT going on screen. I am pretty sure my PC doesn't have any bottle necks atm, but I truly believe that my GPU could be improved, after all my GPU is almost 2 years old.

Anyways, thoughts and comments are appreciated. Also good/legit websites to shop at are always welcome :)

PS: I find the 20-30% performance difference between these cards and mine quite significant.

GeForce GTX 570 vs GeForce GTX 660 Ti Performance Comparison Benchmarks @ Hardware Compare better AA support for 570,more memory bandwith,an OC 660ti will get you the same,or a little more power ,why wasting your money in a quite similar stuff?

the OC 660ti is quite a lot OC'd but renember, you will get a little more performance, and renember, more memory bandwith with 570, i would not upgraded for a little better thing.. wait until you have 500 bucks and get a 680

PS : im not an ATI guy, but ATI cards are known for more performance per dollar, but crappy drivers, im sorry but my sister's GPU driver crahes every day, catalyst is **** ;),i had an ati and the driver crashed every 3 days,i would not be surprised if those drivers don't use all the card power.. in a lot of polls i saw,ppl are 70% nvidia,30% ATI,do what you want but i'd prefer a good stable nvidia!

hehe did you actually see Linus reviewing a lot of AMD's? Linus never speaks about AMD cards, very rarely,i think he prefers GTX

good luck in your GPU quest :D

Have you seen actual benchmarks? The gtx 660ti and 7950 are 20-30% faster no matter how you look at it. I don't think that is "SIMILAR" stuff.

Look at the second image... AnandTech - The GeForce GTX 660 Ti Review, Feat. EVGA, Zotac, and Gigabyte
25% difference if my math doesn't fail me. The benchmark at the NVIDIA website are full of crap, I know because I own that card. I have owned quite a few ATI before (never high end tho) and they are fine IMO. Some people might get unlucky here and there, but there is no need to generalize ATI that way. The only major diff between the two is that more games are optimized for NVIDIA and not ATI.

your bench is on an enormous resolution... for multi monitor yea ,660 ti is prolly better, depends on what you want

Battlefield 3 Geforce GTX 570 MAXED OUT HD Multiplayer Gameplay 2 - YouTube right, 570 seems to have lower FPS than nvidia bench, but well, on a 1080p monitor, maybe max 10 FPS more with the 660 ti, the 570 overclocks well, you can get quite the same FPS i think, but well for multi monitor ,take 660ti

to be honest,i know the GTX 660ti handles 54+ FPS in BF3 ultra on 1080p and i know that GTX 570 is around 50 fps average on 1080p,i saw videos and benchmarks, but well it must depend on the game..

If the money is burning a hole in your pocket, then by all means upgrade. But given your resolution of 1360x768 a 570 should be able to play everything maxed and then some. If you are having issues with fps on a 570 at that resolution you have a problem with either hardware or software (drivers possibly), not with a lack of graphics power.

From a logical point of view do you think that NVIDIA is gonna release a more expensive product after 1 year and 6 months (more or less) that it's only 5% better than its predecessor? Come on...

Is NCIX any good with X-MAS deals?
