This thing is literally 3 times as big as the GTX690. Even my HD6990 looks tiny next to it...

Well we know it is already bigger, will use more power, hotter and will probably be louder than the 690... It better crush it's performance otherwise i predict them selling aroun 100 of them.

Another thing to take into account is the possibility that this is all she wrote when it comes to the HD 7990.

I just don't see how they can keep the power down if a HD7970 draws around 190 to 250watts,but if they would make it with three 8 pin power connectors that would take care of the power needs.because if they start cutting the clocks down ,then it is just going to be slower then two HD-7970 and nvidia GTX-690 and who wants to pay a $1000 for something that is going to be slower .It still should be cool.

FTFY.

It better come with aircraft grade cables to attach to the top of the case to help hold it up. Imagine the size of an Asus CUII version? You'd need a case like this for you "desktop" .... California PC Products - Super Server

Just FYI:

In the review line "EDIT: Hardware Canucks has leared that the price will be between $899 and $999 USD"

I think that should have been "learned"? :)
