While I run a xfire setup I have to disagree, I have had quite a few driver updates bork my multicard setup in some games, but again that can be atributed to a multicard setup.
Dont get me wrong I am not saying "AMD driver suck" but they can get temperamental depending on your setup. Single cards dont seam to have near the issues though.

No.. Not got the memory bandwidth for the high res stuff..

Single card pick for me at the mo would be 7970.. it beats the 670 at higher res.. is about the same price..

Though if your really not wanting AMD the 670 should be fine.
