which is better Galaxy GeForceŽ GTX 670 GC 2GB or sapphire hd 7970 for 1080p monitor

I haven't been following the latest reviews for those cards lately, but I think that the 670 is basically on par with the 7970 for most games but is cheaper and consumes less power/ overclocks faster. I would go with the 670.

For 1080p it's 670 hands down.

I believe that they are pretty even performance-wise, I use an HD 7970, and it is a great card. It's performed admirably in Photoshop CS6, GPU transcodes, and handles all my games with aplomb.

I'd go 670 for efficiency because the performance is very similar at 1920x1080
