Default Gainward or Zotac

Hello and thanks you reading,
Im not sure which graphics card i should get they are both the almost the same price but i dont know which one is better. there is the gainward gtx 680 phantom 4gb and then there is the zotac gtx 680 4gb. I cant afford a gtx 690 so its out of the question.

Products :: Gainward GeForce® GTX 680 Phantom 4GB

ZOTAC - It's time to play! - GeForce® GTX 680 4GB

Hmm, you in the UK? The return policies on both cards say to return to the dealer within the warranty period, which isn't the case here in Canada.

I've had multiple Zotac cards, and the one time I had to return one for an RMA it was relatively painless.

Unless you're planning on gaming on nvidia surround (aka 3 monitors) there is no real point in spending the extra money to get 4GB of video Ram. Your computer won't use it, hell I've never seen my my regular 680 come close to running out of video ram at 2560 x 1440 (single monitor high resolution)

I've never owned a Gainward. I have owned Zotac cards and was happy with them. And Arinoth is correct, unless you have a multiple monitor setup a 2 GB card would do fine.

I had absolutely no issues with the Zotac 580 3GBs and evidently the person I sold them to 6 months ago hasn't either, so I'd say they are doing pretty good. Remember though, there is always a chance, be a slim, to get a lemon regardless of brand.

Zotac offers lifetime warranties on their cards I believe. I would probably take it over the Gainward myself.

Besides warranty, the cooling on the Gainward card will work well only if you have got good airflow is your case, while the reference design of the Zotac is the safer way. Having owned a Gainward 285 Golden Sample and very satisfied with it, I'd go with the Phantom for it's custom cooler.

Gainward, no question. Do you want stock, just good enough cooling? or a custom made cooling solution that is guaranteed to be cooler/quieter running and overclock better.
