Default Hot Deal EVGA GTX 480 $180 no MIR can get free shipping

I don't see the hot deals thread anymore, but thought I would post it (please move it as appropriate if required). While I don't normally recommend a gtx 480 because of temp, heat and power consumption its hard to ignore at this price. EVGA GTX 480 for $199.99 at NCIX, it comes with a $20 gift card for NCIX and if you buy a $25 gift card you get free shipping. Great deal for those who will be buying more at a later point. 43 left at this price as of this posting.

EVGA GeForce GTX 480 700MHZ 1536MB GDDR5 2xDVI Mini-HDMI PCI-E Video Card - eVGA - 015-P3-1480-KR

NCIX.COM $25 Gift Card *Pre Activated* - NCIX Gift Card - NCIX-GIFTCARD-25-PA

I'm about to buy this, but I'm unsure if i should wait for 660ti or go with this and use $20 card to buy better cooling for card down the road.. Seems like a great deal tho..

I've owned this card. This card is an abomination.

On a lighter note, that's a good price for close to 570/7870 performance, but if you need that kind of performance at this point in the game, I wonder if you won't need more vram as well?

This is sound reasoning- if you have the power supply and can deal with the thermals, go for it!

Mine has a closed loop cooler on the core(antec kuhler 620) now it runs 52C while folding @ 100% for a few days straight, max PCB temp is 46C, also now overclocks to 800MHz from 700 with stock voltages now that it runs cooler it is a whole new card.
