How long might my 6950s last

Both are non-ref sapphire's, the 1st is from April 2011 and I overclocked it a little bit for the 1st few months in only 2 games so not much really. The 2nd is from about Feb 2012, and I've never OCed it.

And they stay pretty cool, hardly ever over has either one been over 74C, and their normal range is 60-70C and I clean them too keep the dust out.

1st good modern cards I've owned, how long might they last??? They run everything fine easily at 60fps with v-sync, so they are doing fine that way.

they should be good for a couple more generations of video cards... unless you really get upgradeitis.

It sounds like you're asking about the longevity of the card (not how long it will keep up performance-wise with modern games). Please correct me if I've misunderstood.

If you keep them clean of dust and don't take them on any suicide runs (major overclocks and overvolting), they should last several years barring any defect in the card. Heck, my brother is still running a pair of 8800GTS 640MB's in SLI that he got in 2008 and they're still running well for him even with a bit of an overclock on them.

It really is luck of the draw as far as how long the card will last... My brother is still using my old 4800 Ti with 128mb ram on his streaming box..

if it's performance.. then they will last as long as you are happy to use them.

yeah I mean before they break...If they both last another 2 years and can still handle most games I'll be happy

You should easily get 2 years out of them, I've only ever had 1 video card die on me that did weird crazy shat!

Other then that though keep them clean make sure you have a good power supply and surge protector (these are very important). Other then that you should be good if you transport your computer for lans etc I'd maybe recommend taking them out and putting them back in their boxes (i use to do this with all my big components) just so no bouncing around etc...
