560 Ti or 570
 

I was just wondering what might be the better choice. Right now NCIX has a 570 on for $250, and even though it's enticing I'm just not sure which is the better idea, the 560 Ti (not 448) or 570. I do have the intent of eventually running either card in 2 -way SLI. I game with a typical 1080p monitor and also plan to use this rig for folding and 3D rendering. With the little bit I save I could pick up an SSD boot drive but I'm just not sure what is the better choice 570 or 560 Ti+60Gb SSD.

Ram: 2x 4Gb G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600Mhz

Case: Z9 plus

If you are planning on going SLI then maybe it would be a better idea just to buy a 670 outright. It performs nearly or even in some games just as good at 580 SLI for a fraction of the cost and heat output!

What I mean is, Sli down the road, budget permitting. The 670 is a bit expensive at $450.

I agree I would just go ahead and get a GTX670 ,since it will be faster then a SLI GTX-560TI ,But the GTX-560TI will be faster then a GTX-570

Ok maybe I should have been more clear with my original post. My budget right now is $250. I am looking at getting a single graphics card for my first desktop build and I can't decide which will be better the 570 or the 560 Ti (not the 448 core version). I may buy a second one of these cards in 3 or more months from now.

Save money on a used 570 or even 580 (or buy a new 560 Ti), then in a few months, sell it and buy a 670.

New 570, or a used 580.

Although I can't remember my HDD boot times, it sure is quick now with my M4 sata3 SSD, it speeds up other things but its hard to notice since I never compared back to back

if IRC a 6950 CF is in between a 560sli and 570sli and @ 1080 my 6950CF can handle anything (coded well) and get 60fps, so I don't think a 560sli is any slouch yet.

560 ti SLI is about the same as a 670.. Definitely no slouch But 570 would give you the lil extra ram for a bit more longevity of the card.
