MSI R7970 Lightning Review by VR-Zone.com

I'd go for the 680. Its just a better card IMO

Here's a better review btw: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...review-22.html

I don't think the ~100 or so extra for the lightning over a reference 7970 is worth it.

edit: Check this 7970 out instead: XFX Radeon HD 7970 Double D 925MHZ 3GB 5.5GHZ DDR5 2XMINI-DP HDMI DVI PCI-E Video Card - XFX - FX797ATDFC

btw I think you have 2 threads going on this atm:biggrin:.

He probbaly means what resolution are you going to be running ,if you are just running at 1920x1080 with every thing on then 2gigs of ram should be plenty but if you are going to run two or three monitors or at a high resolution like 2560 x1600 then the 3gigs of memory will help out alot.

if your running at 1080 get a 670... gigabyte or asus are damn good.. :)

The HWC review of the Asus 670 DirectCU II makes it sound pretty damn appealing if you can find one if you're gaming at 1080p :)

Nvidia all the way. A 680 kicks ass compared to any AMD card. In my humble opinion.
