Screen Resolution & V Ram

I have an Odd Ball Resolution of 2048 X 1142 & was wondering if this is big enough to see a difference with a a 670 that I currently have on Order.

Or should I be looking @ the Red Team with more memory as there are some decent sales on 7950's & 7970's @ NCIX @ the moment.

Any input would be appreciated.

that sounds about equivalent to a 1920x1200 in terms of actual pixel count (more or less), and at that resolution the 670 still seems to do better than the 7970 in most games (AMD get their victories too here and there). its not till 2560x1440 that the red team starts to really pull ahead. I just ordered myself a 670 from gigabyte (with a 680 PCB as I'm going to be water cooling this and the 670 waterblocks are not available yet and the beefier card should allow a healthier OC in theory). And the main reason I went for this choice over AMD is their TXAA and adaptive vsync...also I do use some cuda enabled programs every now and then.

Get the 670, any flavor will do the job....but the Gigabyte Windforce cards are very very nice.
