FSX Triple Monitors New Video Card
I hope that someone here is a fellow flight simmer that could help me out. I use my gaming rig to play Microsoft Flight Simulator X exclusively. My question is, I want a SINGLE graphics card (must be NVIDIA) like the GTX 670 / 680 / 690 that I can run 3 24" monitors off of. Has anyone tried this with FSX and if so your frame rates drop significantly , and are the movements fluid? I've searched high and low for answers on this can seem to find anything. Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Your best bet is going to be the 690 as its 2 680s in sli. One has to remember that doing anything in 3 monitors (for gaming) taxes the graphics card 3 times as much as it's rendering 3 screens supposed to 1. I've always been of the mind of running at least 2 cards for 3 monitors for this.

I agree with you, but FSX is different in the way it handles video output. The problem is that FSX does not benefit from SLI or multi gpu's and you will actually lose performance, where as you will not with a single gpu. As far I know this only holds true with Flight Simulator X.

If thats true the 690 could potentially add to that problem because its essentially sli on a stick, A 680 could probably do it though?

Seems like thé gtx680 is the only option you've got...

680 should be fine for 3x1080P, iirc even a 560ti can max FSX at 1080P.

The 680 does seem like a good option. In regards to the 690, apparently the dual gpu on the same card will drop performance as the 590 did with fsx. I was hoping to find someone running Fsx with 3 monitors and a single Kepler graphics card and get some first hand thoughts. I appreciate all the replies and help from everyone. FSX is one of those things that goes against anything that makes any sense ,which is why us simmers seem to spend a fortune on any hardware that will make a difference in performance.

If that's the case then you probably should go with the 680 as previously mentioned by others.
