Default High temps while using firefox, what do you all get?

i HAVE A 6950 CROSSFIRE AND USING A custom fan profile. It was 23C today and its still warm inside right now, and just with an online newpaper and IMDB opened in firefox both cards are averaging 53-58C with the fan around 33%-40% for those temps

That seems really hot just for a few pictures , same temps while on HWC typing this. Thats almost as hot as games, FO:NV is around 60-62C, f1 2011 and skyrim are about 63-66C and BF3 is ~66-70

whats your temps while browsing?

edit:and MSAIAB says GPU1 usage is up and down, while GPU2 us almost always ZERO, yet GPU2 is holding 55-57C while its doing nothing??????? And it always runs 5-6C cooler at idle than GPU1

GPU1 is dual fan sapphire
GPU2 is single fan sapphire (non-ref)

I'm not monitoring temps but my CPU usage doesn't go over 10% no matter how hard I browse... I think you've got some other issues.

Yeah, watching videos online really shouldn't tax your GPU at all since there's no rendering to be done. DVD's need some decoding, but really the amount of computing power is tiny.

wow thanks, as soon as I clicked OK I heard the fan power down, GPU1 temp is falling about 10C, but GPU2 is still stuck at 55C as its been for the last half hour.....even though its not loaded

Its core is running at 800, usually powers down for idle at 250MHz and ~35C, that seems like quite a temp increase (55C) just to be running at stock 800MHz

I'm going to try that now on GPU2, using the stuff that came with my silver arrow

2 words come to mind with that.. Void and warranty..

IMO, if the first gpu decreased from the settings alone then it is some problem with sli / x-fire that is causing the second gpu to not react to this setting... dig further before voiding your warranty.

Don't worry, don't do anything drastic like unseat the heat sink, your temps are normal.

My trifire rig is @ 52 degrees @ 27% load browsing and it just cooled off from 80 degrees as I bitcoin mine when i am at work.

69xx card run hot.

Edit: 27% fan load not gpu load
