Why? The GTX690 is precisely that and looks far less atrocious.

Yeah... I was wondering the same thing. Maybe this comes in at less of a premium than the 690? SLI 680 performance around $800?

By the way... I love how clear the no pictures allowed sign is.......... :)

Well the card is wrapped in camo anyways, unless it's using a passive design

It's like EVGA didn't realize the GTX 690 was going to be two full GTX 680s......

Or it's a budget 690 with less exotic materials in the design to keep costs down (hence the HUGE shroud for the less efficient cooler)

If this goes on sale for 799 or 850$ compared to $999, which would you pick?

4 slots for the bracket is a bit ridiculous though considering the shroud (the way it funnels the hot air as it looks totally enclosed) and that the shroud is only 3 slots.

That thing is just...disgusting. EVGA is going the Route of ASUS with there triple slot cards. I don't like those designs. One bit.

Look at the height of it as well... that's a pretty tall cooler.

Weird, unless they hack at the price. They should have waited to put a 660 2win together, or at most do a 670 2win. Then again, a 660 2win may still come anyways.
