Default Crossfire questions

This is my 1st time doing dual GPU. I believe everything is working correctly but I just wanted to bounce a couple questions.
  1. The manual says to uninstall all drivers before installing the cards into crossfire config is this true?
  2. The bridge seems to fit in either direction does it matter? There is no indication on the strip that I can see that says this side up or down.
  3. 3dMark indicates as crossfire enabled and so do the drivers. I'm assuming its functioning correctly?
  4. Does it matter which card I run the monitor off and If i wanna run dual monitor does it matter which cards I use?
  5. If I run into problems with games can I simply disable crossfire in the ATI software?
Thanks in advance.

1) You need to essentially install the drivers for every additional graphics card you have. This has been the case I've found for both nVidia and ATI. You don't have to uninstall them, but you'll need to run the installer anyways so might as well do a clean install
2) The bridge has no direction because all it does is forwards the pins to the other card in the same order.
3) Yep, then you have crossfire enabled
4) You should run your primary monitor off of the primary card, otherwise good luck seeing any boot info before Windows is loaded. Can't remember about the dual monitors with crossfire though
5) Yep, your primary card will only run, leaving your secondary card just sitting there idle.

run all your monitors off your primary card, that would be the one in the first slot.

stick with the dvi and display ports. the hdmi port won't work with multi monitor setups.

5)you can disable it from the CCC panel, close that, and still use a program like afterburner or others for setting custom fan settings, monitoring...CCC is pretty lacking on those things

I used to have to disable CF for BC2, but newer drivers seemed to fix black screen flickering
