Default EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB Superclocked Review Comment Thread

As the GTX 670 launched, many wondered what kinds of changes NVIDIA's board partners would make with the final retail cards. While Gigabyte, ASUS, Galaxy and some others went the route of fully customized versions, EVGA stuck with the reference design for their new Superclocked edition. But other than increased clock speeds, EVGA has packed in a few additional surprises for us.

I was in another thread when I saw your post that the review will go live in few hours. I quickly jumped to the home page, and there it was

Another superb review, I agree, the $20 is worth it, even if the slight increase in game performance isn't for one, for one very small bill you get a card with proper cooling and higher clocks.. This is the card I was eying, and this will be the one I get, thanks for sealing the deal

Nice nice! Hopefully the cards supply is good for the demand out there.
Is there any disadvantage in going to a larger PCB in the future?

Nice review.. Hopefully the extra OC room on this card will show up more in the custom designed coolers which are starting to hit the retail channels.

First Chart in the temperature page has a typo. Says GTX 680 SC

Thanks again for another solid review. I'm tempted to get that card just because it'd match my Corsair Black/White case color scheme. The step up from the Matrix 5870 wouldn't bother me either :D. I'm curious what other brands or the FTW version will be like. Is MSI still doing team green? A twin-frozr 670 would be pretty sharp.

Great review as always. It makes me happy about having purchased this card on release. Now I just have to learn how to overclock it.

Great card, but I'd go only for non reference cards since NVIDIA really have cheaped out with the cooler. 82c for such a low-heat-output core is ridiculous.

techPowerUp! just recently did a 680 Frozr review, so MSI is still doing nVidia cards; I'd imagine they'll be following up with a 670 here shortly, but don't hold me to this.
