Very impressive overclocking results with that card.

That short PCB does look screwy, I think it might have looked a lot nicer if they had a backing plate that covered the whole top of the card. Would have made things look a little cleaner and more uniform imho.

One thing I'd love for you to consider is to change how you go about the benchmarking for surround/eyefinity. I know it's a lot of work to have to do those additional benchmarks, but I feel it would be more "useful" to perform some of the tests at slightly lower settings. Many of the tests are done at maximum presets and when I'm seeing min/max values between 18 and 32 that is of no use to me. I want to know the relative performance between cards, but I'd also like to see what the relative performance is at settings that allow enjoyable framerates with minimal quality loss. For example: using High preset instead of Ultra on BF 3, but still maximum resolution.

I just don't feel a card like the 670 (heck even the 680 on some games) justifies benchmarking surround at ultra presets. Kind of like the way that you have an additional section just for benches at maximum settings (which is awesome).

Extrapolate?

But I understand. However, the Surround tests were originally intended only for multi GPU setups but I decided to include them in the reviews anyways.

Maybe pick an acceptable framerate and report back on what the best settings for that particular frame rate are?

IIRC, it used to be fairly common to report "playable" settings back in the day.

Do you guys know if the GTX 670 Oced can run BF3 (i.e. over 30 FPS) at 5040X1050 with settings at Ultra? I would like to say yes based on how it performs at 2560X1440 and 5760X1080 but I don't want to really assume.

Impressive overclocking results. I bought the regular EVGA 670 the other day and I can't get mine over 1215Mhz core and 6220Mhz memory stable. I have the fan running at 80% and power target at 122%

I'd say its safe to assume seeing as it runs decently at a res higher than what you want to run so :)

My only concern is the minimum FPS at 5760X1080 drops to 23 FPS from the 37 FPS average. If I extrapolate the data (even though the GTX 670 performance is not linear at these resolutions so it is not really valid), the minimum for my resolution (85.069444% of the pixel resolution of 5760X1080), the minimum FPS would be 27 FPS.

I was really hoping for a steady 30 FPS experience but hopefully the 3 FPS drop at the lows aren't too noticeable. I really wish AMD/Nvidia would let you adjust the settings on the panel displays as you really don't need 3 full screens at Ultra as your eyes are only going to notice 60-70% of the actual area, at most. The corners of your eyes I doubt are going to be able to tell if something is at Ultra with 4XAA . I guess that would cut into AMD/Nvidia card sales though...
