Default Evga 670 SC first batch failures?

Is it true that Evga's 670 SC shipped with a lot of units that slipped through quality control?

Apparently there are a lot of RMAs over faulty 670's from the first batch. My impression is that Evga's customer service is stellar during this issue, but it's still kind of depressing. My 670 Superclocked hasn't arrived yet. I'm just hoping it's not a dud.

I wonder if there actually is a problem. Certainly, a very minute portion of satisfied customers would actively post if there were no issues. Yet, a large portion of those who had trouble will be sure to tell their story.

It is true. But EVGA caught most of them before they shipped to retailers. Some got through though.

Heard this a few times now... Am considering the jump to a 670.. but want to see what the custom cooling solutions provide and see what happens re any manufacturing problems.

I guess I'm lucky because I have the EVGA superclock and it is holding rock solid. Been gaming near non stop since I got it. Even ran heaven dx11 benchmark a couple times.

Well, I got it and installed it. I noticed some screen tearing playing BF 3, but it disappeared when I turned on V-sync. I played for about an hour with no issues. Hopefully its not a dud.

I'm no sure if its EVGA specific, my MSI factory oc was doa with similar problems as the EVGA users.
